John Henry Rich, Sr., 85, husband of the late Patricia (Trythall) Rich, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, at the Phoenix Center.
Born in Retreat, VA, he was the son of the late Fred H. and Thelma (Youne) Rich.
John moved to the Royersford, PA area in 1952, and graduated from Spring Ford High School in 1958. He played football while in high school, and in 1959, he married Patricia Trythall at Grace Lutheran Church in Royersford. John was employed by BFGoodrich from 1959-1986 – 27 years till they closed. He worked for Bechtel Dairy for 7 years, and in 2002 he retired to Parrish, Florida for 14 years until ultimately moving back to Royersford in 2016. John was a mason of Royersford Lodge #853, a life member of Liberty Firehouse, and a social member of the Spring City American Legion.
Surviving are his three children, Cindy, wife of Tony Koban, Norristown, PA; John H. Rich, Jr., Ellenton, FL; Heidi, wife of David Walton, Spring City, PA; grandchildren Justin Rich; Brittany Webb; Nicole Langdon; Kayla Walton; great-granddaughter Mckenzie Webb and great-grandson Landon Webb.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
