Donald L. Weil, Sr., 86, husband of the late Nancy L. (Griesemer) Weil, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Phoebe Richland.
Born in Fredericksville, he was the son of the late Leon Weil Sr. and Edna (Miller) Weil.
Donald worked and retired as a machine operator from Doehler Jarvis in Pottstown. He also worked part time at Clayton Auto Center as a mechanic and previously at Rader Company. Donald loved to play golf, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed driving his 1969 Camero. He enjoyed oldies music, attending classic car shows, and was a long-time member of Friendship Hook & Ladder in Boyertown.
Later in life, he had a loving relationship for many years with Aloma Nagel who passed away in 2024.
Surviving is his son Donald Weil Jr.; son Michael Weil, husband of Janis; sisters Joyce Rush, wife of Henry, and Joan Moyer, wife of Robert; sister-in-law Kathleen; sister-in-law Brenda and sister-in-law Ruth Weil; grandchildren Andrew, Tiffany, Lindsey, Stephanie, Shelby, and Matthew; great grandchildren Colton, Madison, Sophia, Hein, Addison, and Haven. He is predeceased by his son Steven Weil and his siblings Jean, Leona, Leon Jr, Nevin, Jimmy, and Larry.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 9:00AM-10:00AM followed by a service starting at 10:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525) with Pastor Jerry Bigenho officiating. Private Burial will follow at Hill Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boyertown Salvation Army (409 S Reading Ave, Boyertown, PA 19512) or to the Boyertown Area Multi-Service (200 Spring St, Boyertown, PA 19512) in Donald’s name.
