Alan H. Garner, 61

Alan H. Garner, 61, of North Coventry, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026, at his residence.

Born in Pottstown, Alan was the son of Dorothy (Nyman) Garner and the late Harold Garner.

Alan loved spending time with his family and friends. His three sons were his pride and joy, along with his five cherished grandchildren. He was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, where he was an athlete proudly wearing the number 27. He continued the family business as the owner and operator of Garner Builders, building custom homes in the local area for more than 40 years. Alan took great pride in his work and lived a full, hands on life, valuing the people and things that mattered most to him.

He is survived by his sons, Matthew Garner, husband of Whitney Bracco; Mark Garner, husband of Priscilla; and Samuel Garner, husband of Kate; and his grandchildren, Charlie, Joey, Cole, Hannah and Lucy.

Along with his father, Alan was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Garner.

Add My Condolences

Matt, Mark and Sam,

I am so sorry to hear of your father’s passing. I haven’t seen him in awhile but Gary always kept up to date on how he was. He was one of my first friends when I moved to North Coventry in 4th grade. Gary and I always enjoyed hanging out with both of your parents and when Matt came along we were so excited. So many happy memories and your father loved you boys and was so proud of the three of you. You all turned out to be hardworking men just like your Dad. I love you guys and hope your memories help get you through . My heart is with you and your families.

Alan was a schoolmate since elementary school. He was a football teammate at OJR. He was well liked by everyone and there was nobody "tougher" than Al. Rest in peace, Al.....Mike Alexander

IDK what to say. I went to school with our angel, Alan. He was best friends with my neighbor and my ex. husband. We shared many fun times together. May you rest in peace, my friend.
