Thomas D. Wanner, 73

Thomas D. Wanner, 73, of Trappe, PA, passed away on February 13, 2026, at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia. Tom was born on September 8, 1952, in Pottstown, to the late Isabelle D. and Donald L. Wanner. He was a 1970 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School and a 1975 graduate of Drexel University, where, despite his brother’s belief that “he didn’t have the makings of a varsity athlete,” he became a two-time captain and MVP of the Dragons baseball team.

Tom had a long and respected career in Human Resources, working at several firms in the area, including Burroughs and Premier Chemical, and later serving as a consultant with ORS Partners. He was a lifelong Phillies and Eagles fan and proudly claimed the rare achievement of catching two foul balls in the same inning of a Phillies game. He also enjoyed traveling throughout his life, especially accompanying his longtime friend Nick and his family on trips to South Carolina and Key West.

Tom is survived by his children, Brian T. Wanner; Brian’s fiancé, Madison Dietz; and Kristin E. Wanner, all of San Diego, California; as well as his brother, Timothy R. Wanner of Schwenksville; and his sister, Judy Bader, and brother-in-law, Chris Bader, both of Collegeville. He is also survived by his children’s mother, Julie C. Wanner of West Chester. Tom leaves behind many friends, nieces, grandnephews, and relatives who will miss him dearly.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Catagnus Funeral Home (595 W. Main St., Trappe, PA 19426) on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
