Add My Condolences

Dad, it’s been heartbreaking these past couple of days. Just the other day Patrick,Amara, and I stopped by to drop some items off and sat down and talked to you. Amara misses you. She’s smart you know, and stubborn like you. It’s upsetting to drive by the area and she demands to see poppop. I just wish you could see her one last time. I’ll forever miss you telling Bri and I to stop bickering and pestering each other. I’ll miss you bitching about the damn groundhog underneath your shed and how you were going to trap him with cement. I miss when I was pregnant, you always made sure I had eaten my breakfast and you always sent me to work with lunch. You would always tell me “drink a glass of milk because no granddaughter of mine will have weak bones”. I’ll miss gifting you pointless Minnesota Vikings merch for Christmas because you would bitch at Bri and I and say “I don’t need presents” and yet we would get you something regardless bc we love you. I’ll never forget the Christmas bri and I didn’t have wrapping paper so we used duct tape and you were so disappointed you hung the duct tape on the wall as a reminder of us. Or the one time the truck broke down and you didn’t have a phone and you walked all the way to home from AMCO in the heat by yourself. Or when you locked yourself out the house and you had to “break in” by going through the basement windows. I’ll forever miss pulling into the driveway and you opening the door and waiting for me to come inside while sitting on your side of the couch. It’s an empty feeling now. But I will forever cherish the times we had, and will forever wish we had more time. Amara, Pat and I love and miss you. ❤️
