Nancy Ann Latchford, 83

Nancy Ann (Abbett) Latchford, 83, wife of Eugene Francis Latchford, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at her home in Spring City, Pennsylvania.

Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Merrill Walter Abbett and Anna Catherine (Steiner) Abbett.

Nancy started her career as a secretary at the Container Corporation. She transitioned to a stay-at-home mother after the birth of her children and was an Avon lady for many years. She later went back to work as an executive secretary at General Electric for 10+ years. Nancy was also a breast cancer survivor and spoke openly about her experience, something she took great pride in. Above all, “Mom-Mom” was a very loving grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Eugene, she is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ann (Ford) Shaw, wife of James; son, Joseph Thomas Ford; sister, Pamela J. Montgomery Linfanté, wife of the late Raymond; four grandchildren, Dr. Allison Shaw (Zachary Schwab); Daniel Shaw (Jordan); Brittany Naylor (Brandon); and Michael Ford; and three great-grandchildren, James and Anna Schwab, and Theodore Shaw.

Viewings will be held at Catagnus Funeral Home (329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA 19468) on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Washington Memorial Chapel Cemetery in Valley Forge.

Memorial contributions in memory of Nancy may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
