Alexander Guzik, 85

Alexander Anthony Guzik, of Boyertown, PA, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 21, 1940, in Norristown, he was the son of the late Alex and Mary (Welgus) Guzik, and brother to Betty Keeley (James, deceased) and Robert Guzik (Carmella).

Alex is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Netta Forrest-Guzik; his two children, David Guzik (Margo) and Charlene Gilbertson (Matthew); and his cherished grandchildren, Bret Guzik, Dawson Guzik (Meaghan), Brinley Guzik, Madeline Gilbertson, and Caitlin Gilbertson. He was also the proud great-grandfather of Brayden Guzik, Weston Guzik, and Carter Guzik.

Alex worked for over 20 years as a union machinist at Philadelphia Gear Corporation, rising to the position of Supervisor of the Assembly Department. He then transitioned to a second career in construction management and insurance claims support, first for F.B. Davis Sons, and then as President and Owner of Coventry Construction Management, before choosing to retire.

During his retirement years, Alex especially enjoyed cooking, maintaining his lawn, and deer hunting in Potter County - a tradition he proudly continued for more than 60 years. In his younger years, Alex enjoyed surf fishing in Hatteras, DIY projects at his home, and playing baseball.

A private service will be held by the family.

David and Charlene,

I wanted to express my condolences for the loss of your day. I have fond memories of good times with him when we lived at the duplex in Horsham and at granny’s pool parties. May God comfort you and your families and slowly ease the pain of your loss. You guys are in our thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,
Bob Kish
