Carol Lynne (Lyle) O’Hara, 82, of Pottstown, passed away Monday March 2, 2026 at Pottstown Nursing & rehabilitation.
Born in Belmont Hills, she was the daughter of the late Stewart L. and Dorothy (Atkinson) Lyle.
In her lifetime, Carol supported several churches by volunteering her time and talents, enjoyed fellowship and fund raising dinners and community gatherings. As her children grew older, Carol became a cafeteria Manager, and custodian, in Lower Merion School District. Following her heart, she owned and managed a Carvel Ice Cream franchise in New Smyrna Beach, FLA. Owning a passion for life Carol once took an opportunity to work in a restaurant in St. Thomas. Eventually, Carol obtained her CDL and drove semis cross-country, transporting private vehicles and boats to and from Florida. Noting her family’s needs, she returned to Pennsylvania to assist with care of her grandchildren. A free spirit Carol had a passion for cooking, travel, the beach, music and loved to dance.
Carol’s joyous spirit and laughter will be missed by friends and loved ones spanning generations and across the country
Surviving is her daughter Kelly Brodowski; son Michael Grow husband of Katie; grandchildren Louis GrowMiller husband of Michael, Grace Stumpo, and Olivia Brodowski; great grandchildren Gabriella and Mason GrowMiller.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her granddaughter Brittany Grow and brothers Stewart and Robert Lyle.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
