Sandra Mae Gladback, 76

Sandra Mae (Shuman) Gladback, 76, wife of Rayo Randall Gladback, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Reading Hospital.

Born in Hazelton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Byron Wilford Shuman and Dorothy Mae (James) Shuman.

Sandra liked gardening at her home with the help of her husband. She enjoyed music, doo wop was her favorite. She thoroughly enjoyed going to see concerts and shows at Sight and Sound Theatre in Lancaster. Sandra loved trips with her grandchildren. They traveled all over the country on bus trips; stayed at a medieval castle in East Stroudsburg, to Florida, Disney, Niagara Falls, Williamsburg, VA, and many other places. She was a long-time member of St. Paul’s UCC and now currently at Grace Renewal Church in Stowe.

Surviving along with her husband, Rayo of 59 years, are her daughters Sheila M. Yohn, wife of Jay, and Shelly M. Sallade, wife of Scott; sister Doris Ann Novak, wife of Michael; step mother Claire Shuman; grandchildren Brandy M. Yohn, Katelin M. Gladback, Michaela R. Sallade, Jay Allan Yohn III, Matthew Sallade, and Alex Sallade; great grandchildren Zelda Sallade, Lilly Sallade, and Ivy Rose Sallade. She is predeceased by her sister Jane Louise Kent.

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the Grace Renewal Church (653 Glasgow St, Pottstown, PA 19464). The viewing will be followed by a funeral service at the church at 11:00AM, with Pastor Rick Knarr officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Home (144 Hillside Dr., Shillington, PA 19607) in Sandra’s name.

I will miss Sandra, my work friend. We had lots of good times carpooling together and dining out with our friends.
