Barry Richard Gehris, 85

Barry Richard Gehris, 85, husband of Tanya (Makarevitz) Gehris, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2026 at Manatawny Manor.

Born in Boyertown, he was the son of the late Kenneth Gehris and Mary (Youse) Gehris.

Barry was the former President and Life-member of Community Rod & Gun Club of Bechtelsville. He loved hunting and fishing. Barry spent his entire career as a truck driver, often driving coast to coast.

Surviving along with his wife, Tanya, is his son Rodney Gehris; son Randy Gehris, husband of Kellie; brother Bruce Gehris; sister Janet Mest; and grandson Daniel Gehris.

Services will be held privately by the family at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Rod & Gun Club of Bechtelsville (20 Lane Rd, Bechtelsville, PA 19505)

I met Barry back in Boyertown High School in 1956 . We shared a love of Hot Rods and much later he was a customer at my Garage . We liked talking about Hunting and Motorcycles . He will be missed . I pray for Jesus to watch over his wife and family . Good bye old Friend I'll see you one day on the other side !
