Lawrence “Larry” M. Scioli, 78, husband of Bernadette “Bunny” A. (Luther) Scioli, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Parkhouse Nursing & Rehab in Royersford.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Pietro “Peter” Scioli and Thelma Mae (Pester) Scioli.
Larry proudly served in the United States Army. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor, easygoing nature, and a personality that made people feel comfortable the moment they met him. His ability to make others laugh and his genuine warmth earned him many lasting friendships.
A devoted family man, Larry was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle to many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was especially a doting “Pop Pop” who cherished every moment spent with his beloved granddaughters.
Larry was a lifelong sports fan who especially loved baseball and cheering on the Phillies. He enjoyed playing bocce ball with friends, watching classic black-and-white western movies, and spending many years down the Jersey Shore in Strathmere and Sea Isle City. He also enjoyed making breakfast for everyone and had a remarkable and often joked-about talent for being able to fall asleep anytime, anywhere.
Surviving along with his wife, Bunny, is his daughter, Brenda Scioli; his son, Brad Scioli, husband of Dana; and his grandchildren, Ella and Gia Scioli. He is predeceased by his son, Brian Scioli; his brother, Peter Scioli; his sister, Lorelei Catagnus; and his half-brothers, Jack Beckman and Ed Beckman.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 329 N. Lewis Rd, Royersford. Military Honors will be held at 11:00 AM, followed by a time of sharing of remembrances.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (https://give2.chop.edu/) or to the American Red Cross ((https://www.redcross.org/) in Larry’s name.
