Maurice Fiorillo, 93

Maurice (Sam) Fiorillo, 93, died peacefully at home on May 5, 2026. Born in Bryn Mawr, PA on Sept 5, 1932, he was the oldest son born to Clara Fiorillo (Dindino) of Pottstown and Maurice (Mario)Fiorillo of Naples, Italy.

Sam attended school in Pottstown and worked until his retirement at Firestone as a tire builder. Sam’s passion was restoring, owning and showing his classic cars. He could always be found working on his cars in the garage and going to car shows with his wife Elaine. Sam made friends wherever he went and knew everyone. He and his wife could be found every morning for breakfast at The Ridge Restaurant, where he was a regular patron for over 40 years! Sam made many friends at The Ridge, many were like a second family to him. He loved reading, especially anything about WWII. Sam had a special bond with his grandson Dante, and was his biggest cheerleader. Sam could be found on the sidelines of his baseball and football games throughout the years, even traveling to Iowa to see Dante play in college. As Sam got older, he enjoyed the company of his 2 cats Bootsy and Scotchie. Sam lived a long and full live. He will be missed tremendously.

Sam was married to the love of his life, Elaine, for 59 years until her passing in 2023. He is survived by his brothers Thomas Fiorillo and Donald Fiorillo, daughter Vicki Fiorillo, son Michael Fiorillo (husband of Darlene) and daughters Marie Fiorillo and Donna DeNardo (wife of Roland), granddaughters Danielle Musso (wife of Donald), Christine Fiorillo, Brittany Fiorillo, grandson Dante DeNardo, great grandsons Benjamin Musso, Draeden Musso and great granddaughter Gianna Fiorillo. Sam was predeceased by his brother Robert Fiorillo.

Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date.

Add My Condolences

Unfortunately , I only met Sam a few years ago at the Ridge Restaurant , but our friendship was a blessing to me ! He was a great guy . We often sat together talking about family , sports and of course - cars ! How he loved his old Mercury - I believe it was a 1949 or 1950 . I will miss him dearly . It was my privilege to have known him. .
Rest content my friend .

I worked with Sam’s wife Elaine at the hospital and enjoyed many gatherings with both of them. Such a loving couple! Sam learned well as he cared for Elaine in her last years, her rock, always by her side! Definition of a gentleman! What a reunion they are having now, together for eternity! God Bless the whole family with comfort

I work as a Sunday waitress at The Ridge Restaurant, and I, too, loved Sam. He was always upbeat and positive, kind and respectful to everyone. He will be missed…. I am happy to have known him.
