James “Jim” C. Sherid, 77, significant other of Patricia Anne (Fowler) Fehr, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2026, at his home in Royersford.
Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of the late Royden Sherid and Ruth (Hoffman) Sherid.
Jim was a graduate of Spring-Ford High School. He went on to play football and graduated from Minnesota State University. Jim was a police officer for 40+ years in Upper Providence Township. He was a train enthusiast; he enjoyed everything from spotting real trains to assembling model train sets. In his younger years, he was a racecar driver and a drummer. Jim was also an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.
Surviving along with Patricia, are his sons Jamie Sherid; Jason Sherid; and Jeffrey Sherid, husband of Stacey; step daughters Jessica Anderson, wife of Jeffrey, and Stephanie Gordon, wife of Matt; 3 brothers; 1 sister; 1 granddaughter; and his puppy dogs Beau and Woofie.
Services will be held privately by the family at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an animal charity of your choice in Jim’s name.
