Robert W. Jacobe, 78

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert W. Jacobe of Collegeville, PA, who died on May 23, 2026, at the age of 78. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Born in Philadelphia in 1947 to Joseph and Pearl (Bright) Jacobe of Flourtown, PA, Robert attended Springfield Township High School in Erdenheim where he played football. He later studied at Williamson Trade School and began his work career with McCarville Installation Co. in 1968, which later became RJ McCarville Associates, Ltd. A dedicated provider, he worked hard to support his family and remained in the workforce until 2022.

He shared 60 devoted years of marriage with Linda and was a loving father to Brian Jacobe and his wife, Jennifer, of Collegeville, PA, and Diane Gallagher of Trevose, PA. They will deeply miss him and the many lessons he shared. One of his favorite sayings was, “Even a fish wouldn’t get in trouble if it kept its mouth shut.”

He is survived by sisters, Beverly, Pat, and Joan as well as three cherished grandchildren—Connor, Jordyn, and Devin—and one great-grandchild, Chase.

Robert took great pride in being a father and in building the family business. He enjoyed watching the Phillies and cheering on his grandchildren in their many sports activities. Gentle, easygoing, and positive, he was loved by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Crossroads Presbyterian Church, 10 W. Cherry Lane, Limerick, PA 19468. Visitation begins at 8:30 AM, followed by the service at 10:00 AM. Burial at Limerick Gardens and a luncheon at the church will follow.

I lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Crossroads Presbyterian Church.

We are heartbroken to lose our friend of 50 years. Bob was a bright, shining light for anyone who met him. We shared many happy memories on vacations in Hawaii together, and at our lakehouse, and we shared many laughs along the way in many places. Bob could tell funny stories about just about anything because he enjoyed life to its fullest. We never saw Bob without a smile on his face. On one of his walks in the woods at our lakehouse, he encountered a big black bear in the road. After a lengthy staredown, the bear lumbered off and Bob raced back to the cabin. One day, on another early walk, he picked up a red apple sign off the dirt road that fell off a packing skid, and he challenged Grace to frame it, so she did. It has graced our kitchen for nearly 40 years. We remember Bob happily and we will miss him greatly. We extend our deepest and most profound sympathies to Linda, Diane, and Brian and their families as we share their great sadness with them. We take comfort in knowing he is with Jesus, where he knew he would be for eternity. With much love, Don & Grace Pierce

I will remember Bob, with so much affection. His passing saddens me, but I try to remember his smile and the fact that his recent suffering has come to an end.
