Born and raised in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Walton and Maryann (Demchik) Shockley. She was proud of the community that shaped her and the lifelong friendships she made there. It was during her high school years that she met the love of her life, Sal. They were married shortly after graduating high school. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on unconditional love and sharing countless memories over 61 years together.
She was the heart of her family and will be remembered for her unwavering love, kindness, and selflessness. A devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished Mom Mom, she dedicated her life to caring for those she loved. Her home was always filled with the warmth of homemade meals, delicious baked treats, and laughter from stories her kids shared growing up.
She had a remarkable talent for sewing, crafting, and fixing just about anything, and she took great pride in creating things with her hands. She also possessed an incredible memory, never forgetting a birthday, anniversary, family gathering, or special milestone. She was the family’s keeper of traditions, stories, and cherished memories, and was often the first person everyone called when they needed to remember a date or family event.
Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unconditional love touched everyone who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and countless treasured memories that will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
