Leroy Luther Ackerman, husband of the late Dorothy (Freier) Ackerman, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, at the age of 100.
Born January 23, 1926 in Trumbauersville, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Sallie Ackerman.
Leroy was a naval veteran and retiree of Firestone.
Surviving are Stephen and Barbara Ackerman; Douglas Moyer; Bonnie and David Reppert; Susie Stompf; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. Leroy is preceded in death by daughter Patsy Moyer, and son-in-law Ronnie Stompf. In addition, Leroy’s siblings Lloyd, Ralph, and Naomi preceded him in death.
Services are private.

I have fond memories of Uncle Leroy, Aunt Dorothy and us kids camping in the Poconos, singing on the stage, fun at the Dorney and Hershey Parks picnics together.
