Margaret “Marge” Ann Fegley, 90

Margaret “Marge” Ann Fegley, 90, of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 11, 2026.

Marge displayed a lifelong commitment to caring for others through her role as a nurse, social worker and mentor.

Marge graduated from the Chestnut Hill nursing program and became a full-time nurse. She also attended Cedar Crest Collegeat night to study social work and obtained her BA degree. Marge served as the head cardiac care nurse at Pottstown Memorial Hospital and helped pioneer the use of the hospital’s first telemetry unit. Her intelligence, determination, and compassion during her 35-year nursing and social work career allowed her to make a lasting difference in the lives of countless patients and families.

Her commitment to serving others continued after her retirement. Marge volunteered at Barth Elementary School, where she mentored children. She was also deeply involved in her church community, taking on numerous service roles and participating actively in Bible studies. Through her work with Rejoicing Spirits, she helped make worship and religious services more accessible and welcoming for people with special needs.

Above all, Marge treasured her family. She loved spending time with her son who was also her caregiver and was always there for him with unwavering and unconditional love. Marge shared a special bond with her granddaughter as well, filled with silliness, laughter, and many trips to Friendly’s.

Marge also enjoyed gardening, visiting Cape May, New Jersey, and spending time with animals. She especially loved her dog, Charlie, and her cat, Maxie. She was rarely known to turn down ice cream or a blueberry muffin.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents, Elinor Levengood and J. Paul Levengood, and her husband, Leonard “Fuzzy” Fegley. She is survived by her son, Eric Sandoe, and his partner, Liz Limper; her granddaughter, Alisha Sandoe, and her husband, David Schinski; and the many family members, friends, church members, former colleagues, and community members whose lives were touched by her kindness and care.

A memorial service celebrating Marge’s life will be held on September 25, 2026, at New Ridge Fellowship, 2211 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville, PA 19525. A visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. and a luncheon held in her honor.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the ASPCA in Marge’s honor.
