Edna Mae (Zimmerman)Discuillo, 78, wife of the late Nicholas Discuillo Jr., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at her home in Pottstown.
Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late William and Betty (Putt) Zimmerman.
Edna loved to sew and enjoyed watching the Phillies. She also was a member of a sewing circle. Family and friends were very important to her. She was known as “mom” to all the neighborhood kids. Edna worked with special needs children at school and the children loved her back dearly. She liked going to the beach with friends and family, especially in Holden Beach, North Carolina.
Surviving is her daughter Angela Mattingly; brother William Zimmerman; sister Emma Walley; sister Susan Zechman; and brother Richard Zimmerman; daughter-in-law Debra Polichetti; grandchildren David Ziegler, Caitlin Mattingly, Dominick Discuillo, and Isabella Discuillo; and 4 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sons Nicholas Discuillo and Michael Discuillo.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 7:00PM at Catagnus Funeral Home (711 N. Franklin St, Pottstown, PA 19464) with Max Schmidt officiating. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date. A viewing will also be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at the funeral home.
