Anna M. (Gamler) Bechtel, 88, of Boyertown, wife of the late Elmer J. Bechtel, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 2, 2026 at the Reading Hospital.
Born in Landis Store, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Minnie (Hilbert) Gamler.
Anna loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to country music and taking bus trips with her husband and friends.
Surviving is her daughter Brenda Hess wife of David; son Dennis Bechtel husband of Kay; grandchildren Michele Letting wife of Joshua and Warren Bechtel husband of Lisa; great grandchildren Lucas and Makayla Letting and Bryce Bechtel.
Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by 6 brothers, 1 sister, granddaughter Ashley Bechtel and great grandson Levi Bechtel.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday September 15, 2026 at 7:00 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525 with Pastor David Bitler officiating. Visitation will also be held Tuesday from 6:00-6:45 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later day.
