Winifred “Peggy” (Hill) Castle, 79, of the Lancaster area, formerly of Downingtown, wife of the late Bobby Lee Castle, passed away Friday September 18, 2026 at the Reading Hospital.
Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late William S. and Winifred A. (Flack) Hill.
Peggy worked at Pepperidge Farm for nearly 50 years. She retired in 2016 after 42 years of service. She then returned to work in the employee store for almost 8 years
Peggy was a member of LCBC Church in Lancaster where she sang in the choir.
Surviving are her sons Bill Castle husband of Kimberly, Bobby Castle, and Chris Castle husband of Kathryn; grandchildren Cullen, Alana, Savanna, Rachel, Breanna, Ethan, and Talia; great grandchild Auggie; and sisters Dottie Schiebe, Pam Cialini, and Kathy DeMarco.
Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Dawn Castle.
