Leon Kowalski, born on November 21, 1961, passed away Saturday September 26, 2026, at his home.
Leon will be remembered most for his unquestionable, unwavering, and unconditional love. He loved fiercely, deeply, and without reservation.
Family was his greatest joy. He was preceded in death by his parents Leon Kowalski Sr. and Bessie (Ubil) Kowalski and step-father, Charles Bortz. He is survived by his partner, Kimberly Boyer, daughter Lauren Kowalski (Michael Dean); son Samuel Kowalski; sister Cindy Kowalski; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Leon was dependable and dedicated, someone others could rely on without question. His presence brought a sense of comfort and certainty.
He found joy in many things, but at the heart of so much of his life were the friendships he built and treasured.
He was an avid golfer, and some of his happiest mornings began early, out on the course. Golf was always about more than the game itself. It was about spending time with those he cared about, creating memories that will be carried forward, and building bonds over countless rounds together.
But perhaps his greatest joy was being a dad. His children will forever remember the unmistakable pride he had in being their father and his unconditional love. They knew, without having to be to be told, how much they meant to him. He had a remarkable gift for providing comfort without needing many words. His presence provided a calm confidence when it was needed most. With their dad, difficult things seemed a little simpler.
He taught his children, not always through words, but through the way he lived. He taught them to try their best, persist, and to understand the value of hard work and integrity. He always made them believe that their potential was endless and gave them the confidence to be themselves, because who they are is more than enough.
These lessons will continue to live through them. Parts of their dad shine through in who they are, allowing the world to experience pieces of him every day.
Leon showed those around him that life is meant to be lived in a way that brings joy. That bonds and memories matter. That stories are worth telling and retelling. And that making people feel important, valued, and special should never require a second thought.
A celebration of Leon's life will be held Saturday October 10, 2026 at Twin Ponds Golf Course, 700 Gilbertsville Rd.,
Gilbertsville, PA 19525, starting at 11:00 AM, with a brief moment of reflection at 12:00.
His family encourages those who knew and loved Leon to honor him by simply spending time together and sharing memories in a setting that was meaningful to him.
His absence will be deeply felt, but so will his everlasting presence in the memories we hold. He will be loved, remembered, and carried in our hearts always.
