Benigno M. Torres, 80, of Pottstown, husband of the late Tomasita Mauras-Torres, passed away Friday October 16, 2026 at the Reading Hospital.
Born in Patillas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Teodoro and Juana (Soto) Mauras.
Benigno enjoyed fishing, drinking with friends and family, dancing, and singing. He had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes. Most of all, he loved being around his grandchildren.
Surviving is his daughters Margarita Levengood (Elmer Levengood) and Maria Roberts; Son in Law Thomas Tully; grandchildren Tyler Levengood (Christina Levengood) , Brandon Levengood (Julie Nacarelli), Ryan Levengood (Breanna Adams), Kiara Levengood-Lucena (Alejandro Lucena), Wyatt Levengood, Anthony Mayes, Erica Tully (Josh Sechrist), Lauren Tully, Brian Tully; great grandchildren Syre and Selena Lucena, Cayden and Owen Gofus, and Savannah Miller, Carter and Zander Tully; and many loving brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Along with his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his grandson Michael Tully.
Funeral services will be held Saturday October 24, 2026 at 10:30 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Burial will follow at Pottstown Cemetery, West. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00-10:15 AM at the funeral home.
