Phyllis Ann (Dix) Cusick, 82, of Boyertown, PA, beloved wife of the late Melvin D. Cusick, Sr., passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Reading Hospital.

Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Olive Dix.

To many who knew and loved her, Phyllis was simply “Deuce.” She was known for her warm smile, quick wit, and love of spending time with the people she held dear. Whether she was gathered around a poker table, playing bingo, enjoying one of her many favorite card games, or making a trip to the casino, she brought laughter, friendship, and a competitive spirit wherever she went. More than anything, she treasured the time she spent with family and friends and created countless memories that will be cherished by those who knew her.

Family was the center of Phyllis's life, and she loved them immensely. She is survived by her son, Mel Cusick, Jr., and his wife, Tara; her daughter, Elizabeth Benek, and her significant other, Harry Nichlas; her cherished grandchildren Zachary, Brianna, and Christian; and the Smith family, Chad, Ricki, Mason, and Jayda Klemmer, who were family to her in every way that mattered.

In addition to her husband and parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her son, Michael Cusick.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Phyllis's life at a Celebration of Life gathering on December 5, 2026, at the Boyertown American Legion at 1:00 PM.
